In this introductory gaming course, students will have hands-on experience creating and modifying their own 2D and 3D video games. Using their creativity and problem solving skills, students will learn to design, create, test and debug video games. Students will be introduced to 3D modeling and animation as part of the game design process and commonly used computer languages used for game scripting. Students will also explore game genres, their history, and the business of gaming.
Credit may be applied toward the minimum fine arts graduation requirement. Course may qualify for JCCC advanced standing credit
