Game Design and Development

Prerequisite – Computer Competency
6032 – 1 Unit (2-period session, 1 Semester) (CAA)

In this introductory gaming course, students will create 2D and 3D computer games. Using creativity and problem-solving skills, students will design, create, test, and debug computer games. Students will explore history of game development, game genres, game design principles and elements, and game creation for the web. District transportation is provided to Broadmoor. Credit may be applied toward the minimum fine arts graduation requirement. Course may qualify for JCCC advanced standing credit.
